General Terms – Château de Fontariol Guesthouse

Booking a room via the Château de Fontariol website or by any other means implies full acceptance of the following 16 General Terms.

Article 1: Purpose :

This contract governs the reservation of overnight stays or longer visits at Château de Fontariol Guesthouse, including meals at the table d’hôtes and Car & Breakfast packages.. Breakfast is included in the guesthouse room rate and is non-refundable if not taken. The representatives of SAS Fontariol Valorisation (“the Host”) are committed to providing a welcoming environment that enhances guests’ stay and their knowledge of the Bourbonnais region.

Article 2: Stay Duration, Check-in & Check-out:

This fixed-term contract does not grant the client any right to remain on the premises beyond the agreed period

Unless agreed otherwise, arrival is on the specified date at the time indicated.

Late or delayed arrival must be communicated to the Host in advance. Without notification by 9 pm, the Host reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Early arrival requires prior notice to ensure availability.

On the morning of departure, the client must vacate the room by the agreed time.

Article 3 : Table d’Hôtes

Ordered meals are served exclusively at the Table d’Hôtes in the main room of the fortified house or in the gardens. Guests with dietary restrictions or intolerances, including gluten intolerance, should inform the Host in advance.

Article 4 : Breakfast :

Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 9:30 am.

Article 5 : Booking and contract conclusion :

Reservations via Château de Fontariol website, email, phone, or partner sites.

50% deposit required if booking >14 days before arrival; full payment if <14 days.

Booking confirmed upon full payment.

Email confirmation with details (contract) sent after deposit.

Article 6 : Payment of the Balance :

The balance is due upon arrival, preferably by credit card or bank transfer, or alternatively in cash or by check. Additional services will be paid at the end of the stay.

Article 7 : Cancellation by the Client

Full deposit refund for cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival. For cancellations within 14 days, the deposit (or 50% of the total if fully paid) is non-refundable. No-shows, cancellations within 72 hours of arrival, or shortened stays are subject to full payment.

Article 8 : Cancellation by the Host:

In case of cancellation by the Host before the stay (for reasons beyond control), the client will be informed immediately by phone or email and receive a full refund.

Article 9 : Check-in Time :

Guests should arrive on the confirmed booking date. Rooms are available from 5 pm. Please notify us if arriving after 8 pm.

Article 10 : Check-out Time :

Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 am.

Article 11 : City Tax :

The tourist tax is a local tax that guests must pay to the property owners, who then remit it to the Public Treasury. Individuals aged 18 and over are subject to this tax per night. For our establishment, it is set at €0.40 per adult per night.

Article 12 : Change of Rooms: :

The management reserves the right to change room allocation (equivalent or higher category) without any compensation for the client and without any change in price.

Article 13 : Capacity:

The number of guests indicated at the time of booking must be respected. In case of additional guests upon arrival, access may be refused without refund or contract modification.

Article 14 :
Pets

Pets are not allowed.

Article 15 : Lifestyle, Use of Premises :

Guests are expected to respect the peace and comfort of all. Smoking and vaping are prohibited indoors and, where possible, near openings.

Guests are responsible for the condition of the room upon departure and any damage caused.

The supervision of children on the property and in the gardens is the sole responsibility of their parents.

Article 16 : Data Protection :

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, you have the right to access and rectify your personal data. SAS Fontariol Valorisation undertakes not to share this information with third parties.

Article 17 Dispute :

In the event of any dispute, the courts of Clermont-Ferrand shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

All claims must be sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to the Château de Fontariol address in Le Theil.

These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, and their acceptance is deemed acquired upon booking.
